So I think you have to ask yourself what is it that you really want and what's the end game. With the v collection you can do that and with just analog lab you can't.
That being said, there is something about being able to tweak and make patches from scratch. There are tons of presets and definitely more than enough to make music and be creative. I have the V collection 9 and I use analog lab as the host for all the plugins.
